Boy am I pissed today and I thought things couldn't get any worse.

Oh I was wrong. 

If you're wondering on why I sound so angry that's because didn't you get the news? No? Well lucky you, but unfortunately, I am gonna break the news whenever you like it or not.

So I was just going through my notifications until I noticed that there's a new thing for the hot topic section of my feed. 

Aye.... I wish I didn't see it. 

DA actually thought that they would be so sneaky to use my sleeping hours of my timezone to drop a bomb stating that Eclipse will be permanent in mid May. 

The jokes are on them. I saw it and thanks to them I've spent the remaining hours of sleep enduring night terrors or what I would like to them the "Lbat creator mode" thinking about this horrible and down right...uh...unfair(?) thing. 

Oh DA you sure f**ked up big time. Yeah insert Roblox death sound here: OOF 

But Lbat don't you think that you're overreacting a little? Like it can't be all that bad

Oh and that's where I stop you. Last year I made a small vent-ish rant about why I didn't like Eclipse after using the toggle to go back to the old look. In that rant I explained the pros and cons and not soon afterwards I listed even more cons but only kept one pro. 

The only redeeming quality of Eclipse is that DA finally gets a night mode. Unfortunately it doesn't look all that impressive. There's only three colors to choose from and they're all mediocre. This wouldn't be an issue if they were to add the old look but with a slight slicker appearance to give out a sort of feeling nostalgia, but no they made it boring instead.

In my vent, I stated that the dark mode looked cool when first viewed; however, looking at it now, it almost feels like you're looking into a dark void of nothing and no personality whatsoever. It would be nice if they were to add some green highlights. Now that would be cool.

Now the cons. There's way too many problems with the features that Eclipse gives us. I already whined about how you can only put 15 tags whenever you're submitting something new and not as many as your heart desires. But a new issue has arisen. I really don't like how the top right portion is laid out. Especially the many ways to submit things. 

In the old site the buttons for both submitting art and literature were in the same spot which made it easy to publish both at the same time. It's pretty cool. Unfortunately in Eclipse, you can't do that since both are separate. Well you probably can publish something at the same time. I don't know I am not in Eclipse so I can't tell you.  

But what I can tell you is that this whole new method on how you can submit things onto DA is complete utter bullsh*t. Also it came to my attention that literature isn't even included in your gallery along side with art. Again it's bullsh*t.

You know I have thinking about this a lot lately. If DA wanted to put a dark mode for the site they could've made it where there's a switch in your account settings which would give you the free privilege of viewing the site in dark mode with the aforementioned green highlights to make things pop at you. They could've easily done this like in the early or mid 2010s. The same goes for allowing everyone to have Core Membership benefits such as being able to customize your profile and change your username. There would still be a Core Membership but it would be for those who want to support the site and keep it growing. Like charity. They get to test things out before being released in a similar way to that of those being a Beta Tester. All of these things would be really awesome to have. But nope! They decided that it would be a great idea to revamp the site where everyone would hate it.

Just a little advice to all of you who are making a free social site or platform. If you want to update the site make sure to announce it along with allowing the user base to give out their thoughts on how to make it work for everyone. Take feedback and imply it to the new design. By doing this you will gain the respect and love from your users. Sure they may be a majority of people disliking it, but at least you've asked for their input and not to do it unexpectedly without listening to them.

And the reason why DA decided to give out the news about forcing the switch to Eclipse is possibly because of the lockdown. Who knows. If it was that than oh boy, 2020 sure gets better each passing day. No it f**king doesn't! 

So yeah that's my second vent on Eclipse. I am not looking forward for mid May. After April is over and before we all switch over, I will be posting two very last things onto DA. One of them being all the links to my other socials so you can follow me there. I am still mixed on whenever to keep posting to DA or not. 

Anyway that should do it for now. My final words for Eclipse is that it's total sh*t and that DA is truly going through a spiraling downward trajectory.

Did you really think that I was just going to let this who thing fly under the radar? Apparently not. 

I tried to not jump onto the bandwagon but I have to admit that tearing up jerks and ranting about them is fun. Sorta....

For those who haven't heard, the TBATF crew is in hot water now. If you don't know what TBATF is I'll tell you. TBATF, also known as, The Beginning And The Friend, is an Eddsworld fancomic which takes place after The End. It is apparently "based" off of the series itself.

Now you're probably wondering why I put the word based in quotes. That's because the comic isn't based off Eddsworld. It's just a fancomic, not an actual Eddsworld comic. So it's technically an AU. But do the people running seem to get this? Of course they don't. 

Technically the entire crew are horrible people, but there is one of them that is so evil of them all. I speak of Jax. The reasoning why is because she is manipulative, she is cruel, and she can even fake an innocent appearance. It is also should be mentioned that she was given the position of being one of the moda on the official Eddsworld Discord server. 

Uh news flash Jax, even though you were promoted it doesn't help for the fact that you told someone to kill themselves all because they discovered that there was scene in the comic where Edd got r/ped by anime girls. You heard that right. There was an actual scene in TBATF where Edd of all characters got r/ped by amine girls who all belong on the cover of a playboy magazine. That's messed up.

But wait...there's more. 

The person that she told to go kill themselves was a minor. A minor. And you're supposed to be a 20+ year old, but here's the thing, you've denied that you ever said anything. But....the jokes are on you, since although the messages have been deleted a good majority of them have been screenshotted. Aye not so slick are ya? 

The lesson to learn here is that never tell someone (mostly an innocent minor) to go kill themselves. You just don't. If you were to do that, you're going to be in a lot of trouble, like you are now. 

Do you really what to know what's worse than telling someone to go kill themselves? That's would be calling anyone who give you hate dEDD-heads and blocking them

Like you got to be really childish to block someone who give you something that you don't want to hear. Besides it's disturbing when you have to capitalize Edd when you know that the actual person is dead.

Even though calling people who don't like you or your comic may be bad enough, but that's not even the tip of ice cold proverbial iceberg. Apparently the TBATF crew wrote an entire post calling those people who hate them mediocre and talentless

WHAT THE F**K!? 

I'll be completely honest here, during the entire course of my life I've been called many things and most of those stabbed me like a knife. But this.....this actually hurts. Mediocre? Talentless? You wonder who's mediocre? You people are. You're all mediocre just from saying this alone. And for saying that I have no talent. Um excuse me, I've been contributing to the Eddsworld fandom longer than you. I know what I'm doing. 

Next we go into this statement: "We've spent hours on researching these characters". Oh if I had a dime whenever I hear this. Even though you claimed to have spent your lovely time on watching Eddsworld from the beginning to the very end and no matter how you try, you cannot, I repeat, cannot get their personalities spot on. Let's be fair here, everyone (myself included) can't get their personalities right; however, at least we don't take everything that we with them in our own creations canon unlike you for the comic. 

First off Edd seems to like cola way more than his friends. He doesn't seem to care about Tom and Matt and instead goes for a soda machine. Edd may be a jerk, but at least he shows respect for the human race 

Second Tom, well he may seem alright in earlier chapters, but Chapter 5, my god. Since when in actual canon has Tom ever shown that he cares about Matt? Since when? In WTFuture, he brought up the fact that if Edd wasn't there than he'll be stuck with Matt even adding to say that it would suck

I'm not really going to be touching Matt, since Matt is Matt, but in this comic he seem a little childish. Sure Matt may be a dumb cinnamon roll at times, but he can shown to be smart. Well sometimes....

And we finally got Tord. Oh sweet baby Jesus, where do I begin. I do admit that his appearance and his Red Leader outfit does look cool, but it doesn't help for the fact that he has one bad portrayal. Okay I'll be honest, I really don't like the Legacy version of Tord not since The End. I'm not saying that I hate Tord, it's that Legacy kinda ruined him as a character for me. I still like him and his Pre-Legacy incarnation. I'm getting off topic, but this brings in the point that TBATF Tord is worse than Legacy Tord. This version of Tord just makes him a villain without any with movites as to why he's taking over the world. Plus the creators thought it was a good idea to give this version of Tord ASPD....without a reasoning why

Writing lesson 101: If you're going to give a character a mental illness make sure you do your research beforehand. Don't just slap it on. It doesn't work like that 

The portrayal of the neighbors and both Paul and Patryck are actually alright since, well, they're basically side characters. That is the only saving grace that I can find 

Anyway that should be the end of this long rant. If you enjoyed it that's fine and if you didn't that's also fine. I just wanted to get this off of my chest

Hey ya'll! Lbat1901 here and welcome to my first ever review post on Newgrounds.

I have been planning on making this for quite awhile. Basically I had this in the works ever since I've posted my little tribute of the 9th anniversary of WTFuture which made me realize that 2020 will be the episode's 10th anniversary.

My god, time has gone by so fast. I feel so old thinking about it. Why does everything gotta have an anniversary when its age hits the double digits? 

Anyway, so WTFuture. Today marks the 10th anniversary of, and if not, one of the best episodes of Eddsworld of...*inhales*.....ALL TIME and is personally my #1 favorite. The episode made its debut on February 13th 2010. 

And my golly gee, it sure was something back in the day. It's still something now. Oh the glory days of Pre-Legacy were top tier. Of course Tord leaving in 25ft Under the Seat was very sad to see, but I believe that the later episodes made up for it. It still hurts though. 

If Eddsworld could taught me anything it would be that the series can do the unthinkable in terms of plots for episodes. I mean the series gave us zombies, a view on Atlantis, superheroes, vampires, monsters, an adventure into outer space, exploring ancient ruins, an alternate universe, and heck even a trip to hell. Edd wanted to experiment on a lot of things and one faithful day, he decided to create an episode where time traveling and the future exists and BAM! WTFuture has been born into the world. 

WTFuture sits upon on throne on what great ideas can be thrown into Eddsworld and is highly respected to be starting episode on said ideas. At the time WTFuture was the most viewed video on the official Eddsworld YouTube channel. However, it got dethroned by Fun Dead which is another good episode that I also like, but it still has that reputation of trumping any other episode. 

Also it has one of the best looking posters in the entire series. I mean look at this thing, it just so gorgeous and appealing to the eye.

This one of many posters that I want to get and hang on my wall. I already have the measurements done for it. Yeah......I had a lot of time to waste. Don't judge me okay. 

In ranking and review perspective, WTFuture gets a five star in each category. You might be wondering what ranking perspective? Well since nobody wants to give out stars for each episode in Eddsworld, I self voted myself to do it. Ehh....not really. It should be judged by the fans themselves. 

But how I judged them is by using a system that designed. There are only three categories. Performance, story telling (or if you want to get technical: plot narrative), and finally impact. WTFuture has done well to earn a high ranking in all three. 

Oh and uh, if you don't know what WTFuture's plot is, please go watch it and if you do and don't remember a single thing, here's a recap. 

WTFuture tells us that Edd's (not the real life counterpart) future self travels back in time in order to do one thing: kill his past self all because of cola getting banned in the future. Are you following me with this? Good. After encountering his past self, a chance scene is followed before ending at Edd's house where the gang plans on escaping. 

And by escaping I mean by getting into bumper cars and pass by Future Edd who seems annoyed by a door. Oh and uh, you might as well put on 3D glasses while you're at it. 

Anyway....

Believing that they were safe in a diner, it wasn't long for Future Edd to make his arrival by throwing Hellucard through a window which killed him instantly (not really tho, since characters in Eddsworld are brought back to life in the next episode or so). Soon afterwards, Future Edd proves that his in fact Edd's future self after showing their lucky can before Future Edd puts on sunglasses and aims his pistol.

This gets interrupted by Edd stating that if he were to get killed by his future self, than it will cause a time paradox which his future self shurgs off before the scene cuts to the real life Bing which in turn totally confuses Future Edd. While he was distracted, Edd takes a barrel of cola, shakes it up, and lets it hit Future Edd right in the mouth allowing the gang to escape. 

Future Edd watches them take off before using a time traveling wristwatch to go back in time to get "reinforcements". Meanwhile, the future versions of Tom and Matt were seen coming out of time rife and stepped into an alleyway before going over a few things. Back with our lovable gang of idiots, they were seen looking at tvs in a window before going back to the bumper cars only to get stopped abruptly by Future Edd. 

Future Edd then proceeds to show off his "reinforcements" which were many different Edds from an era in time before commanding them to attack, but unfortunately, they got scared of futuristic things before running off as Future Edd facepalmed. 

To make matters worse, Future Tom and Matt showed which made the past versions of them comment on their appearance. After that, Future Tom tells Future Edd to surrender but he refuses before picking up his past self. However, Edd reaches for Tom's base before smacking Future Edd with it. This made both Toms cry out "No! Susan!" before Future Tom angrily fires his pistol at Future Edd who gets back up only to duck. 

The beam makes it way over to Edd and Matt, before Edd reaches for Matt's picture which reflected the beam as it ended up hitting a street lamp while Future Matt was seen standing right next to it. The lamp comes down which kills Future Matt who wasn't expecting it and both Toms. 

Apparently Future Tom had a time traveling device which made both Edds making a move towards it. Eventually Matt gets a hold of it and travels back in time only to make himself king of the world.

And....I just realized that I gave out the whole entire plot and spoilers to those who haven't watched it on accident. Aye....ah well, it was bond to happen anyway.

Now I hear you asking about the current view count on WTFuture. Oh I will be glad to tell you. If we were to combined both the views of it on YouTube (12,714,757) and Newsgrounds (677,059), it will currently sit on a total of 13,391,016 views. 

In conclusion, WTFuture will always be the best episodes of all time and I want this to be played in its entirety at my funeral and on my deathbed. Plus it has an amazing soundtrack. I also want to be played at my funeral. I demand it. Heck, I even want it to be played at my wedding. 

WTFuture received so much praise throughout the years and don't get started on the AUs. There's a lot of good ones such as the Future AU, Crisis AU, Red Army Au (even though it kinda falls into both the Future and Crisis AU) and it has given birth to many WTFuture fanfics and comics. Plus the fancomic tbatf also is doing the WTFutu-

Hey everyone, Lbat1901 here back with a long overdue journal entry where I talk about basically anything yet alone having the name Channel 7 Lucky Hour in it.

Man, 2020 has been so far a rough year and a rough start into the new decade. So much has happened within the first three months of the new year and quite frankly it's been very depressing.

I would talk about what went down so far, but I am saving that for my end year review and believe me, this year's review is going to be nasty. So yeah.

I just wanted to spend time writing this journal about the whole Covid-19 issue that's been going on. To be honest with you I had several breakdowns in mid March where it hit where I live.

We all have a panic button when it comes to Covid-19 and I even put together my current knowledge on what Covid-19 could be like. It wasn't bad, but there are people out there who like to debunk all your statements which is exactly what happened.

They claimed that I was wrong about people dying from the flu, but we'll get to that later.

But I just want to make it clear that at some point of the entry, I will be talking about statistics. Unfortunately, most of the statistics that I put into this post are mostly the US statistics. But there are a few statistics that count the whole world. The flu isn't seen in Europe. The places were it's a problem at will be mentioned later on.

Ok let's do this.

Oh...where do I even begin with this? Well if I had to start somewhere it would be many centuries ago. There was a time where things like antibiotics and vaccines didn't exist.

Many places around the world had different ways of healing the sick. Unfortunately no one had a single clue on what to do when it came to the Black Plaque.

Oh the Black Plaque. This plaque nearly wiped out all of Europe. It started in Italy and spreaded out. There was nothing people could do. They could only watch their love ones and friends die. Heck even they themselves suffered a very long and painful death. It was a tragic time.

There has been many speculations on how the plaque started, but the most accurate one had to be the fact that rats were everywhere and I mean everywhere and also the cities were very dirty. Nobody washed their hands or took a bath. Who knows how bad those cities smelt like. I really don't want to know, but we're glad to have moved on from those days.

That's until the Spanish Flu (or the influenza pandemic) came in 1918 right after the first World War. Man was this thing devastating. It took out a lot of lives between said year of 1918 to 1920. Again the world still didn't have any antibiotics or vaccines. So if you were around during that time you had to do a lot of distanting.....which kinda worked(?), but still, never mess with a flu like this. It is said that the Spanish Flu killed about 17 to 50 million people. There's even speculations that the number is higher than 100 million.

The Spanish Flu wasn't the only illness that everyone had to worry about. We had measles, scarlet fever, yellow fever, small pox and any other illness that has been a major problem back in the day which I don't want to add. The reason why being is that if I were to add them than this would be longer that it's intended to be.

But over many years we've finally created vaccines and antibiotics to combat them. We no longer see small pox, measles, yellow fever (well if you are living in a poor undeveloped country, you'll see it and will possibly die from it), and the numbers to scarlet fever went down even though it didn't kill you, but it can do a lot of damage and it's not pretty.

I recently forgot to add Pneumonia to the list, but it's very common to get and it's not that problematic as it used to be. So yeah.

Now with advancements in medicine you would think that we would get rid of illnesses that once killed right? Not really....

The only thing that we haven't fully combated against would be the common flu. Despite having a shot for it, the vaccine has partial effect.

Luckily we only see the flu during the cold and flu season or better known as the "Don't touch me, I'm fragile!!!" season.

The flu exists in the tropical and subtropical parts of the world. There are only three major places where the flu has high numbers and those would be: the US, Australia, and Hong Kong.

Now here comes the part where I am basically throwing stats and numbers at you. After this paragraph I will be going through the total number of deaths caused by the flu. A quick thing that I want to add is that the person who flared at me claimed that nobody dies from the flu. Oh buddy, I hate to break this to you, but there literal numbers and stats for these kinds of things. Stats don't lie.

Also the only people that are at high risk of dying from the flu are children that are under 5 years old (technically it's children that are under 2 years old), pregnant women (and women up to two weeks postpartum), and finally the elderly especially if they have respiratory issues.

To start this off right, we will look at the 2009 flu pandemic. The total number of deaths worldwide, and I stress worldwide, is 151,700 to 575,400. Now for infected it's 11% to 21% (about 0.7 to 1.4 billion).

Now onwards to the typical flu season which is every year. The death toll is about 290,000 to 650,000 a year. For the numbers for the infected, it's 5% to 15% (340 million to 1 million), 3% to 11% (5% to 20% (240 million to 1.6 million).

Just a quick mention of the polio outbreak that was only in the US at the time. It would seem that people forget how dangerous polio was without the vaccine back in the day. Oh history should never be forgotten. There weren't any sort of treatment for polio in the time between 1917 and the early 1950s. In the 1950s polio got worse which resulted 57,628 children being reported with it and 3,145 deaths. Also it's worth mentioning that 21,269 were left with mild to disabling paralysis.

And finally the 2019 to 2020 seasonal flu. Surprisingly these numbers only imply to the US. The number of deaths from the flu in the US is 20,000 to 52,000 and the number of infected is 34 to 49 million.

Okay stats on the flu over. Now we get to the most baffling part of this entire book report: the US has a serious problem with the flu season and measles. Yes, measles, a illness that we got rid of with vaccines and antibiotics.

In order to get the vaccine for the flu, it is recommended that you're over 6 months after birth. Now for getting a shot for the measles, all children (and yes children are at a high risk of getting it and dying from it) get two does of MMR vaccine. The first dose is given at 12 through15 months of age and the second dose is at 4 through 6 years of age.

Why am I telling you all this I hear you ask? In case if you don't know, the US had an outbreak of measles in the past year and the year before which infected those who are under 19 years old and a majority of cases are from children.

"How could this happen? Measles is supposed to be extremely rare to get"

You'd be right; however, there are people out there that are so against getting their kids vaccinated. This is commonly due to religious beliefs or something else which is totally understandable. But half the time, people believe that vaccines cause Autism.

This right here, this makes my blood boil in rage. This is completely false. I would love to explain why but unfortunately you guys didn't came here to hear about my political views. You came here to hear about the deal with our current situation and you are going to get it. I might talk about it since it's Autism Awareness Month but for now we got a some serious matters to talk about.

Brace yourselves this is going to be a very long ride.

I am sure that everyone worldwide is currently panicking about the Coronavirus or the Covid-19 outbreak. I have to admit I am worried too.

Let's just go over it on what we know so far.

Covid-19 is, well of course, a virus and you know that viruses can spread and a good majority of the well known viruses are contagious and airborne.

Now what are the symptoms? The symptoms result in a person coughing, having a fever, and shortness of breath in 2 to 14 days of exposure. The people who are at higher- well basically anyone can get it, but the people who are at an extremely high risk are the elder especially those who have already existing health issues.

Now for the countries that are in total lockdown a week or two ago. Before I mention them, feel free to add on to this as much you want since I might miss out on something.

Alright, first country to have it was China which now has lower number of cases, but before that we couldn't really get information since China doesn't like leaking info out. We have to pull China's teeth out to get some info, buuuuut.....regardless or not, info usually gets leaked. Enough of that. Next we e have South Korea, then Japan. Speaking of which Japan had to closed down all the schools. You know it's serious when Japan closes down school and goes under quarantine.

Anyway....next up we get a few cases reported in the US which eventually spread throughout the entire country expect for the state of West Virginia (Editor: Hi, this is Lbat's editor. I just wanted to fix this one mistake here about West Virginia. As of recently, it has been reported that West Virginia is no longer a Covid-19 free state. So please don't attack Lbat. Thanks!). Then we get Canada going under quarantine after the Prime Minister gets tested positive for it. Over in Europe, Italy is shutdown. In Spain, the country shutdowns down after the wife to the Prime Minister is tested positive. Soon afterwards, France, Germany, and the UK are under quarantine.

After this pretty every country in Europe is under quarantine including Russia.

Australia on the other hand, all I heard was that they are taking procedures. Again, as said before, feel free to add on to this on what's happening because there is a chance where I won't be able to keep everything straight on every country.

Africa so far is the only continent, along with Antarctica, doesn't have any reports. But if they were than oh boy, there's going to be a whole lot of deaths since Africa (well some parts of it) don't have the best healthcare system.

Anyway, since the lockdown, many things have been postponed. Even in the US where St Patrick's Day parades got cancelled and March Madness getting postponed including high school and college sports (this also implies to schools, bars, restaurants, etc all over the world). Yeah it's serious when this happens.

Now when it comes to stocking up from stores.....oh boy. Ever since the outbreak, people are going crazy in order to stock up on things such as toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Uhh............ok. Hey....I hate to say this, but you really shouldn't be stocking up like that. Oh god I am so going to get angry riots. Calm down people! Calm down! Look all I am trying to say is that you need to be mindful for the people who need this. I am talking about the people who are higher risk than. Yeah I am referring the elder and the people who have health issues.

I am not telling you to stop getting what you need. Just take the number of things that you want and let get other people stock up. See it shouldn't be that hard. Thank you.

So in long story short, we are still learning about Covid-19 and are working on a vaccine in if it were to come back. We just need to do is stay strong and determined. So watch your hands, wear a face mask, keep your distance to 6 ft, and makes sure to stay away from dear ol' granny and grandpa. You want them to come to every single family gathering now do you?

Or we can always be that one idiot that refuses to listen and goes to beaches and be exposed. Yeah there are literally people that don't get the memo. Don't be like them.

Now you probably notice that I didn't mention any deaths from Covid-19 and honestly, as much as I would like to add the total number if those are currently infected and have died from it, I really can't give off a number. The reason why being is that the numbers keep going up each passing minute, hour, and day. If I were to put a number, it likely to be wrong since again the numbers get updated. So fir the third time in a row, feel free to add information on what's happening. You can basically say anything as long as it is in a real respectful matter.

What I mean in a respectful matter is because there are people out there who are being truly racist around any Asian they come across with. Blaming Covid-19 on them which totally not cool.

Hey to the people who are being racist to Asians, you might, I don't know, self quarantine yourself out of society and maybe learn a thing or two. Just saying.
