"Money can drive some people out of their mind" - The O'Jays

The Eddsworld discord sever is dead as of July 29th 2022.

I know you guys were probably expecting to see me tear apart TBATF ch 8 and yeah, I'd rather be doing that instead; however, this is important. 

The EW crew, mostly Bing and Matt, have turned the once public open Eddsworld server into a patreon server. There are a large majority of people that didn't know that there was an official server for the fandom and I don't blame you. Bing and Matt never posted a permanent link to it, but luckily for you, I've found it.

But.... why should I even bother to share it? It's completely pointless considering the fact that the only way for you to talk to other people is to be a patron just so you can gain access to the entire server. 

Like I said before in my initial thoughts about the server being patreon only, Bing and Matt had made a grave mistake and thanks to them having an idea like this the backlash was deserving. 

During my time as a patron, I didn't like the idea and it made me feel awful that non-patrons were left in the dust due to Matt's lust for money. It should be worth noting that I never really felt welcomed in the server and after being a patron, I still didn't felt welcomed. Plus I didn't like the other patrons. Well, I didn't like every single one of them. Some of them were okay. I honestly miss the early days of the server. It wasn't chaotic and it was actually calm, but sadly those days are long gone. Nothing good ever lasts for long. 

So, how did I became an ex-patron? Well, you would think that I would cancel my pledge and you would be correct; however, that's not the case. In reality, I got banned from the server and how? 

...I will let you on a little secret. I accidentally leaked a clip to an upcoming episode right after the server switched to patreon only. Remember when I said that I didn't like some of the patrons? Well, they got a little pissy when I leaked the clip and it wasn't even more than two hours. 

Before the ew patrons twist the narrative and try to slander me, I would like to defend my case as the Lbat Attorney and yes, it's a parody of Ace Attorney. 

I would to makes something clear before the ew patrons make false allegations by saying that don't have any remorse for leaking the clip and that I may be a sociopath, I do have remorse for what I did and it was a mistake on my part. I could've waited for a couple of days to leak the clip and I apologize for letting the spread of the clip get out of hand. But in reality, I had no control on the clip spreading like wildfire and yes, I could've put something in the caption to not to spread the clip around. Welp, it's in the human nature to make mistakes. 

In all honesty, I am at fault and I did deserve to be banned but at the same time, I kinda wanted to have a revenge moment just to get back at Bing and Matt for making the decision to turn the official server into a patreon server. So, I gave the non-patrons some justice and it was all worth the hassle. Bing and Matt did not think things through. Not at all. 

I am perfectly aware that leakers are often frowned upon, but not all leakers are bad. They usually share interesting information regarding popular media and it makes the fans discuss many possibilities and outcomes along with coming up with theories. They are respected in each of their respective community. 

But for Eddsworld, nah. Leakers deserve to receive misfortune according to the ew patrons and yet, they say that the non-patrons are toxic while they themselves wanted to bring death to a leaker. Hmm... seems legit. 

So, in a span of nearly three days, I got kicked out of the server. Well, I was going to leave the server a longtime ago, but the ew crew did the job for me. How lovely. It's official, I have bad blood with the ew patron server, the production team, and Bing and Matt who all hate me and refuse let me have a word in to try to make things a little civilized. 

I eventually got a message on patreon where the ew crew wanted me to apologize for leaking the clip which I did and I was waiting for a response to fully admit my wrongdoings. Unfortunately, Matt wasn't having any of that and proceeded to slam the door on my face and block me from the Eddsworld patreon page. 

Oh Matt, do you know that slamming a door on someone hurts their feelings especially when they wanted to apologize to you? I suppose not. Apparently Matt's greed and ego was a bit too strong that day and he forgot to take his vitamins. PeePaw Hargreaves needs a long nap. 

Nappa: Lbat, what does the scouter say about Matt's greed and ego power level? 

It's over 9000!!! 

Nappa: What!? 9000!? There's no way that can be right! 

To be honest, it was a shocker to see that I was blocked from the patreon page, but then I look at the words: "Eddsworld has blocked you" and I proceeded to laugh my head off for about 10 minutes straight. The words "Eddsworld" and "block" don't fit each other all that well. Also, it doesn't help that Eddsworld as a web series doesn't take itself seriously in terms of its lore.

But... But Eddsworld, you can't block me and try to file for a divorce. You literally signed a contact to be one of my hyperfixations until the sun explodes. You help me fight off my depression. You can't leave me. You can't. 

Anywho, that's all I had to say. I really wanted to, well, vent this out because the last couple of day weren't all that great. But after sharing what happened, I feel much better. 

So kids, what did we learn today? If you ever plan on making something and end with a large dedicated fanbase, don't be a Matt. Instead be like Tomska. Tomska is very supportive towards his fans and loves them all.
